The group consisted of three sisters: contralto LaVerne Sophia Andrews (July 6, 1911 -- May 8, 1967), soprano Maxene Angelyn Andrews (January 3, 1916 -- October 21, 1995), and mezzo-soprano Patricia Marie "Patty" Andrews (born February 16, 1918). Their career as a group spanned over 42 years and they produced major hits in a great variety of music styles. The Andrews Sisters' harmonies and songs are still influential today, and have been covered by entertainers such as Bette Midler, and Christina Aguilera. The group was inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 1998. "Have I Told You Lately that I Love You?" is a popular song written by Scotty Wiseman and published in 1945. It was the greatest hit of Wiseman and his wife and one of the first country music songs to attract major attention in the pop music field.
